The first step to set up your Roku devices(Roku Streaming, Roku TV, Roku sticks) is to connect them to the Internet.

 In this article, we will show you how to connect Roku to your Home network via WiFi and Ethernet.

How to connect your Roku streaming device to the internet Via WiFi

During Guided Setup:

  1. Select Wireless for Wi-Fi connections.
  2. Select your wireless network from the list of available Wi-Fi networks. If you do not see your network, select Scan again to see all networks.
  3. Enter your network password. To see the password as you type, choose Show password.
  4. Select Connect

Then your Roku streaming device will connect to your home network and the internet

How to connect your Roku streaming device to the internet Via Ethernet

If you are using a wired network connection, attach one end of the network cable to the Ethernet port on your compatible Roku device, and the other end directly to your router.

During Guided Setup:

  1. Select Wired for Ethernet cable connections.
  2. If you select Wired, your Roku device will automatically connect to your home network and the internet. 
  3. Select Connect

Then your Roku streaming device will connect to your home network and the internet
